Tampa Florida is run by uptight fucknuckles
| There’s nothing obscene or pornographic about the Sex and So Much More adult tradeshow and conference, but the idiots who are in charge of Tampa have decided that they don’t want the show to be able to rent the city’s convention center.
Exampe idiot: City Attorney David Smith, who suggested that they hold the event in a local strip club instead. I guess he thinks the tens of thousands of people who attend these shows can somehow squeeze into a strip club which was never designed to host a convention of this size. These shows are aimed primarily at couples, and besides the tradeshow floor, they include three days of workshops, contests, and dance performances that include male performers and [tag]belly dancers[/tag]. In the show’s application to rent the 125,000 square foot center, they assured the city there would be no nudity and that performers would wear pasties and thongs even at their most exposed moments. Fortunately the people in charge of some other cities aren’t complete asshats like the Tampa tightwads. The Sex and So Much More show has already been in Denver and in Minneapolis, and will be in Detroit in September. Their website has more shows scheduled for 2007 already too. |
